The October edition packed a punch with performances by two of Atlanta’s top R&B artists Q Parker and LaTocha

ATLANTA,Ga. October 17, 2012/ / – Last night, Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols presented yet another explosive show at ATL Live on the Park… Season 3. The night was full of music as attendees were serenaded by the voices of former Xscape member LaTocha, Epic Records artist and former X Factor contestant Marcus Canty, Sister 2 Sister breakout artist Anami Jordan and of course Q Parker, former member of the popular R&B group 112. Park Tavern was filled with many celebrity and key guests including LHHATL star Karlie Redd, CBS news anchor Guy Rawlings, celebrity DJ Baby Yu, Rapper Pastor Troy, Actor Carl Payne, Comedian Rodney Perry, Actor Keith Robinson, NHRA Top 10 race car driver Nicole Lyons, TV/Film Producer Roger Bobb, Atlanta rapper St. Nick and many more.

For the R&B lovers, last night’s show did not miss a beat as the October edition brought back highly-anticipated performances by LaTocha and Q Parker. LaTocha performed melodic tunes including “My Little Secret” and “Just Kickin’ It.” Q Parker revisited his 112 days by singing timeless hits such as  “Cupid” and “Anywhere”. Next, Q introduced his new single “Yes”, which received a standing ovation from the crowd. Breakout artist and former X Factor contestant, Marcus Canty, performed a cover of Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Worth” which brought the crowd to their feet. Sister 2 Sister’s Magazine new artist Anami Jordan opened the show with her sultry voice performing a cover of Mary J Blige “I Am” and Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way”. Both new artists proved R&B is alive and is here to stay.

KISS 104.1s Art Terrell and Eboni Elektra co-hosted last night’s event. Live music was provided by the Teddy White Band and DJ Trauma, who kept the crowd going with a mixture of R&B, hip hop, and soul. There wasn’t an empty seat in the house creating the ultimate musical experience for all attendees.  ATL Live on the Park… Season 3, had another successful event, leaving all guests anticipating the season’s finale scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, 2012.
